DESCRIPTION: Built before the start of the Civil War, this historic Over-the-Rhine building housed a bakery for almost 100 years. Schickel Design spearheaded the transformation of this historic structure into nine condominium units mixed in size and price. The units stress convenience and livability in layout, adequate storage, openness, energy efficiency, and good orientation to the outside from within, as well as ample natural light and ventilation. The design preserves the quality historical elements, while providing modern amenities and finishes. The project targets young professionals and older buyers who wish to move into the city after their children have grown.
