“I have thoroughly enjoyed our creative collaboration both at Good Samaritan and in our other TriHealth facilities. Your competence and ability to work from the general to the specific to express the larger vision have created a memorable space. Your process of working closely with architects, construction managers and administrators has been invaluable…” John Prout, CEO, TriHealth
Major works of art strengthen the architecture to provide an inspiring experience for patients, family and staff. Schickel Design Company worked closely with hospital leadership and the architect to bring a dynamic approach to this facility. Combined artistic voices of figurative realism and abstraction speak of TriHealth values and evoke a sense of comfort and joy. Water as a healing element is expressed through the building and site, appearing abstractly in stained glass in the entry atrium, in a large painted mural showing the biblical story of the healing at Bethesda, and finally in a beautiful natural pool visible through a glass curtain wall at the back of the building.
