Rebirth of Madisonville!

St. Angela Chapel Rendering

Following the new Madisonville Quality of Life Plan, a new Wellness Center at the corner of Madison and Ravenna will include a mixed-use business and residential district in the historic center of Madisonville. The project will include market rate apartments, first floor commercial space and new Medical and Dental services, along with new parking and streetscape work, new lighting, planting, signage, bike racks and better accommodations for pedestrians.   Madisonville Community Urban Redevelopment Corporation (MCURC) with the help of the Cincinnati Health Department (CHD) and a recoverable grant from the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) has hired Schickel Design to lay out a vision for the area. This project will be one of the first in the City to be done under the new Form Based Zoning Code with the goal to promote healthy neighborhoods that are great places to live and work. GBBN Architects is working with Schickel as consultant for the health care aspects of the project.
