DESCRIPTION: On a country property in Loveland, Ohio, Schickel was hired to design and build a two-story residence for an aging couple who wanted a space for hosting family gatherings while also remaining comfortable for two people. The resulting wood-frame home is a rustic yet elegantly simple structure, with an open first floor to accommodate friends and family. Custom millwork accents the space, and a generous L-porch engages the idyllic surroundings.
