DESCRIPTION: Schickel Design was hired by a small developer to reclaim and convert this historic Over-the-Rhine building into three luxury condos. Much of its historic elements had been covered up by a 1980s renovation which sectioned the original three units into six apartments. To open it back up and uncover original components, we are gutting virtually the entire building, besides the stairwell. The layouts for each unit have been reconfigured, with private, landscaped parking for each tenant, and a rooftop deck for the penthouse. New floors, walls, and appliances are being installed building-wide. The renovation will highlight historic elements and enhance them with modern comforts, and will also earn the building a LEED Silver certification.
