DESCRIPTION: This chapel building is tucked at an angle among larger hospital structures to allow light to flood through abstract stained glass at the corners, and in the clerestory. It is made of concentric chambers designed for groups of up to 150, but also allowing for intimacy in smaller groups. The central chamber under the skylight is brightly illuminated with smaller more dimly lit outer chambers. Universal symbols of the divine, common to many religions, combine with honest materials and forms. A granite fountain flows through the entry wall into the space beyond.
